Instructions for cleaning your piercing.

Follow these instructions for the next 8 to 12 weeks. Take a shower twice per day. Once in the morning and once at night. Let the warm water run on the piercing for a few minutes, this will soften up any crust that may be on the jewelry. Use an anti microbial or castile based soap and make a good lather in your hands. Wash the piercing, the piercing area and the jewelry. While washing leave the soap residue on the piercing area for 2 to 3 minutes before rinsing off. As you rinse off the piercing, slightly rotate the jewelry under the shower water to remove all residue. (Please note that the only time that you should ever rotate your body jewelry is while you are in the shower or directly after your shower while cleaning the piercing. NEVER rotate your jewelry with unwashed hands)
Dry the area with a clean paper towel or a fresh clean towel. Do not use damp or unclean linens to dry your piercing. After drying the piercing, swab both sides of your piercing with a cotton ball or q-tip soaked in saline. If you are using a cotton ball grip the jewelry with the cotton ball and rotate the jewelry slightly, making sue that saline gets inside of your piercing area. ONLY USE SALINE TO CLEAN YOUR PIERCING IN THIS MANNER. Following these simple instructions will ensure that your piercing heals quickly and remains healthy.

FIVE THINGS TO REMEMBER
  1. Products recommended for care of your piercing are as follows: Anti microbial soap, Anti bacterial soap or castile based soap and aerosol cannistered saline solutions like H2Ocean or Nasal Rehydration solutions. Do not use saline, which contains additives.
  2. Do not rotate the jewelry through the piercing when dry. Only rotate the jewelry during the cleaning process during or directly after your shower. Other than that LEAVE IT ALONE.
  3. Do not touch the jewelry without washing your hands first.
  4. DO NOT use the following role play toys products on your piercing: Alcohol, Witch Hazel, Hydrogen Peroxide, Bactine, Betadine, petroleum based products, Neosporin, Bacitracin, Bag Balm or ear care solution. These products WILL damage your piercing. They can lead to excess scar tissue, fluid retention issues and severe healing complications.
